Partnering Program |
Partnering is an approach to early conflict resolution for highway contracts of all sizes that can result in reduced effort and expense for
the contractor, help avoid costly legal disputes and improve overall contract relationships.
VDOT's Partnering Program, which has been used by VDOT and contractors in various capacities over the last several years, was formalized in
April 2007 to ensure that all contracts are either formally or informally partnered.
Partnering is typically entered as a bid pay item in contracts and is planned for mutually with VDOT and the contractors.
